Since opening in August 2022, Wild Blue Restaurant + Cocktail Bar has established itself as one of Canada's most celebrated dining destinations. In 2026, Wild Blue earned the prestigious No. 47 ranking on North America's 50 Best Restaurants list and was named Best Restaurant in Whistler by Vancouver Magazine for the second consecutive year. These honours build on an impressive collection of accolades, including No. 2 Best New Restaurant in Canada by Air Canada enRoute, North America's Best New Restaurant at the World Culinary Awards, and multiple appearances on Canada's 100 Best Restaurants list, reaching No. 33 in 2025. Vancouver Magazine has also described Wild Blue as "the most important Whistler restaurant opening in a decade."

The restaurant is led by an exceptional team of founding partners, including Neil Henderson, an award-winning Restaurant Director, and Alex Chen, celebrated chef, Iron Chef, and recipient of Vancouver Magazine’s Chef of the Year honours. Executive Chef Derek Bendig brings extensive experience and a classic French and European culinary influence to Wild Blue’s culinary vision.

In October 2024, both Neil Henderson and Alex Chen were inducted into the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame in recognition of their longstanding contributions to the industry.
