CHEF ALEX CHEN OF WILD BLUE RESTAURANT APPEARS AS GUEST JUDGE ON TOP CHEF CANADA SEASON 12

- Bocuse d’Or-inspired challenge to air October 28 -

WHISTLER, BC (October 23, 2025)Wild Blue Restaurant + Bar’s Partner and Chef Alex Chen will appear as a guest judge on Top Chef Canada Season 12, airing Tuesday, October 28 at 10 p.m. PST on Flavour Network and STACKTV.

In the episode, competitors face one of the most demanding culinary challenges yet – an homage to the prestigious Bocuse d’Or, often described as the culinary world’s Olympics. 

Joining Chef Chen on the judging panel is Keith Pears, leader of Team Canada at the upcoming Bocuse d’Or.

Chef Alex is uniquely suited for the role, having served as the leader of Team Canada at the 2013 Bocuse d’Or and now as a Bocuse judge himself. His deep connection to the competition and its exacting standards made the experience of judging particularly meaningful.

“It was a true honour to share a glimpse of the Bocuse d’Or world with this talented group of chefs,” said Chen. “The precision, creativity, and heart that define the Bocuse spirit were alive in that kitchen, and it was inspiring to see Canada’s next generation of chefs rise to the challenge.”
